We’re excited to announce that we’ll be hosting a Bucket List Expedition at one of our favorite places in the world, Berry Island Wilderness Lodge. We would love for you to join us and experience a place that has grown incredibly dear to our hearts.

We’ll be hosting two expeditions on July 11–15, 2026 and July 15–19, 2026. Everyone will meet in Vancouver (YVR) and travel by plane and boat to Berry Island, where we’ll spend our time exploring the area, spotting wildlife, sharing meals, and getting to know one another in a truly special setting.

Getting There

Airfare to Vancouver (YVR) is not included, but round-trip Pacific Coastal flights between YVR and Port Hardy, plus transfers to the lodge, are included in your expedition.

When booking your flights, please plan around the following transfer times:

Expedition 1 | July 11–15, 2026

  • Arrival: July 11, 2026

    • Depart YVR at 08:35 AM

    • Arrive at the lodge at approximately 1:00 PM

  • Departure: July 15, 2026

    • Depart Port Hardy at 17:05 PM

    • Arrive at YVR at 18:15 PM

Expedition 2 | July 15–19, 2026

  • Arrival: July 15, 2026

    • Depart YVR at 12:00 PM

    • Arrive at the lodge at approximately 1:00 PM

  • Departure: July 19, 2026

    • Depart Port Hardy at 17:05 PM

    • Arrive at YVR at 18:15 PM

Sample Itinerary (5 days, 4 nights)

Day 1

Your journey begins in Vancouver at YVR, where you’ll board a domestic flight to Port Hardy, and then transfer by ground and boat to Berry Island. Upon arrival, take a moment to relax and soak in your surroundings. After a light refreshment and a brief welcome orientation, you’ll have time to settle into your accommodations before heading out for an afternoon marine tour. You'll search for marine wildlife in the vibrant waters surrounding the lodge and return to the lodge by 4:30 pm, just in time to enjoy our '5 pm swim club'!

Day 2

Breakfast is served at 7:00 am. After breakfast, you’ll meet on the dock at 8:00 am for a full-day bear viewing adventure. You’ll head to one of several estuaries or rivers, where viewing may take place from a crew boat, small zodiac, or on foot, depending on the tide and conditions.

You’ll return to the lodge around 4:30 pm, for optional swim club, followed by a buffet dinner an evening presentation and games if you’re not too tired.

Day 3

Breakfast is served at 7:00 am, followed by a full-day coastal safari, often a guest favorite. You’ll explore the islands and waterways of the Broughton Archipelago in search of marine life and black bears, letting the day unfold as wildlife leads the way.

You’ll enjoy lunch on the boat, then spend the afternoon on a peaceful rainforest hike on one of the nearby islands.

You’ll return to the lodge around 4:30 pm for dinner and the evening program.

Day 4

Breakfast is served at 7:00 am, followed by a day spent on and around Berry Island. You’ll start the morning with a sea kayaking excursion in the protected, crystal-clear waters near Berry Island Wilderness Lodge. From there, you’ll head out for a crabbing and fishing experience, then return to the lodge where the chef will prepare your fresh catch for lunch.

In the afternoon, you’ll unwind with the Berry Balm experience, a relaxing combination of hot tub time, sauna, and an invigorating ocean dip. The day wraps up with dinner and the evening program.

Day 5

Breakfast is served at 7:00 am, followed by check out and a marine tour excursion before your flight back to YVR.

Pricing is for 5 days and 4 nights and includes lodging, meals, beverages, and all scheduled excursions. Full details on what’s included can be found below.

Pricing is based on room occupancy, and all rates are listed per person. Adult rates vary depending on the number of adults sharing a room: one adult is charged the single rate, two adults are each charged the double rate, and three adults are each charged the triple rate.

Child pricing is added in addition to adult pricing and applies once a minimum of two adult rates are booked. If one adult is traveling with a child, two adult rates apply.
